What is The Renegade Network Marketer System? Why does it produce Fresh, Interested MLM Leads?

By admin | July 8, 2008

Are you a network marketer, wondering about the Renegade Network Marketer ebook, by Ann Sieg?

We are the new breed of networkers, leveraging technology and the Internet to create leads for our business opportunities. Through the application of Attraction Marketing, new business builders now contact us, by phone and email.

Our mentors in this revolution are Ann Sieg, Jonathan Budd and Mike Dillard, just to name a few.

Renegade students represent many different mlm companies, and hail from many different countries. However, we share a common frustration with traditional mlm recruitment methods.

We have worked many long hours and spent loads of money on leads, phone bills and autoships — yet most of us feel that we have little to show for all of the effort.

A traditional method of prospecting, still pounded into the heads of many new distributors, is the three foot rule. Whether it’s your mom, a stranger at the grocery store, or your coworker, you are told that you must present your business opportunity to them. Truth be told, this method of selling is obnoxious and rarely produces a good result. People don’t like being cornered with an uninvited sales pitch.

These prospecting tactics have been around for fifty years now. This type of personal selling may have been more effective in the early days of our industry, when people were more trusting of one another. Fast forward to today, and we find that this type of tactic rarely produces anything but embarrassment and frustration.

Think about the last time you purchased a new car. Even though you wanted the new car, you may not have enjoyed being the buyer, at the mercy of a sales person. Most people don’t like to be pushed into buying. They don’t appreciate someone telling them what to do with their hard-earned money. You endured the process, however, since you wanted and needed to make the purchase.

Having been in several different mlm opportunities in the past, I learned that many of the training methods just did not work at all. I was encouraged to ’share’ my business and products with as many people as I could…and that the product was so irresistible that it would sell itself.

Knowing that I was not a talented sales professional, I liked this idea of ’sharing’ instead of selling. Problem is, it didn’t work for me at all.

I passed out boxes of business cards. I had some magnetic decals made for my car, so that I could share my business with everyone during rush hour. In my case, it never resulted in a single phone call or business partner.

With each failed attempt, I grew more discouraged. I remained convinced that network marketing had tremendous potential, but it seemed that success was only for my upline.

One night I was roaming the Internet and came upon an ad for a free network marketing report by Ann Sieg. I had never heard of this person before, but once I read the first page, I could tell she had felt my pain in the old school of network marketing.

She had some harsh words for those who insist on teaching new distributors to chase people and harass them into joining our business. I liked her honesty. She made so much sense. Within days, I had purchased the full ebook, The Renegade Network Marketer.

Why should you try the Renegade system?

Once you have learned to market yourself first, and then your company and products, you may never have to dial another cold call again.

You can expect to recruit far more business builders and serious network marketers, since your marketing focus is on these types of people. Now that’s a good marketing strategy!

Get the system here. It’s backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Earn Extra Income with Silpada Designs: A Direct Sales Opportunity Review

By admin | July 8, 2008

Silpada Designs, a manufacturer and distributor of sterling silver jewelry, is based in Lenexa, KS.

This direct sales company was started by stay at home moms Bonnie Kelly and Teresa Walsh. The two met as school room mothers, quickly became friends and began discussing ways to earn money from home. They tried several business ideas, but only became truly passionate about their work when they started Silpada Designs. This is because in addition to kids and the need to earn extra income, they also shared a love for jewelry.

Silpada Designs began with $25 saved back from a grocery fund. Bonnie and Teresa made the jewelry themselves and sold it at informal parties they called, “A Fun Ladies’ Night Out Playing Dress-up with Jewelry”. The Silpada Designs direct sales opportunity was born out of customers and hostesses coming to them, saying, “How can we get involved? You two look like you’re having so much fun!”

In 1997, Silpada Designs emerged out of the basement to become what it is today. Now it is the fastest growing .925 Sterling Silver Home Show in the U.S., with thousands of independent Representatives and Home Shows averaging $750 in sales. Based on that $750 average, a Representative can earn $450 a week by holding just two average Home Shows, with only six to eight hours of work involved. For a really ambitious Representative holding five shows and working 16-20 hours a week, the annual income would be $54,000!

Representatives earn 30% commission on retail sales. There is no waiting period or sales quota to meet in order to obtain commissions. Representatives can also earn commission on the sales of recruits they sponsor. This begins with the first recruit.

Throughout the year, Representatives who meet certain sales and recruitment goals can qualify for free jewelry and prizes, special conferences in cities across the nation, and annual incentive trips. The trips, called “Silpada SOAR” trips, are set in tropical locations all over the world and Representatives get to bring a guest along for free. The Fast Start Jewelry Rewards Program allows new Representatives to earn $3,000 worth of jewelry in their first 100 days. There are also monthly incentives for established Representatives to earn more free jewelry.

Parties or ‘Home Shows’ are the primary method of distribution. Representatives are not required to make formal presentations at Home Shows. The atmosphere of a Silpada Designs Home Show is very informal, just friends getting together, trying on jewelry and buying what they like. Hostesses can receive up to 30% of the total Home Show sales, and extra bonuses if the Representative obtains two bookings from the party.

The problem with the Silpada Designs business model is that it can be rather limiting. It appears that Renegade Network Marketing tactics may land you in some hot water…

From the Silpada Corporate web site:
“NOTICE TO ALL ACTIVE INDEPENDENT SILPADA DESIGNS REPRESENTATIVES
According to the Silpada Designs Corporate Web Policy active Independent Silpada Designs Representatives are prohibited from listing on a business directory or other Web site using the company’s trademarked terms, including, but not limited to, “SILPADA” and “SILPADA DESIGNS”. As such, all active Independent Silpada Designs Representatives may not list on this Web site. Any such listing will be considered a violation of the Silpada Designs Corporate Web Policy and will be subject to all remedial actions.
Prospective customers/distributors can use the corporate website to locate Representatives in their area.”

Cost to Get Started

The Initial Certification Fee to become a Silpada Designs independent Representative is $199. That covers the cost of learning materials needed to get started, including tools to help boost recruiting abilities. In addition, Representatives must invest in their own jewelry kits to bring to Home Shows, so that guests can touch, feel, and try on the jewelry before making a purchase. Representatives receive a 50% discount on all belts jewelry and watches.

The Silpada Designs direct sales opportunity might not be for everyone, particularly those desiring to utilize technology in their marketing. However, for jewelry aficionados, it could be a really fun way to earn extra income simply by wearing, sharing and talking about the things they love.

Silpada Associates…if the policies about use of the Internet have changed, or I have misinterpreted, I welcome your comments here.

Is Network Marketing a Scam?

By admin | July 6, 2008

I have been corresponding with one of my newsletter subscribers, who happens to live in Ireland. She’s been studying carefully the idea of network marketing, but shared with me that there is a great deal of skepticism about MLMs in her country.

If you are from just about any country, I don’t have to tell you that there are plenty of naysayers about what we do, why we do it and our methods of sales/marketing!

The fact is, there will always be those who misunderstand the business structure — and no matter what we say, they will shout ‘pyramid scheme, pyramid scheme!’

There will always be those who believe that network marketing is a complete scam, and regardless of the evidence, these people will not be convinced otherwise. (And yes, of course, I am aware that there ARE, in fact, some scams out there, which perpetuate this image…)

I offered the following comments and advice, which I hope will be helpful to others as well. It is my opinion that internet-based network marketing is the wave of the future. It’s going to eventually make network marketing more mainstream AND it’s going to make network marketing more profitable and less stressful. (No more bothering friends and family. I’m all for that.)

“I completely understand (and appreciate) your concerns about network marketing, as a small percentage of them have given the larger mass a bad name over the years…

As for which opportunity to choose? There are plenty of choices. Find something that resonates with you personally, or that inspires some passion of yours, like cooking or wellness.

Then…

1. Carefully choose your sponsor. Make certain that they know about the Internet Marketing angle; make sure they can teach YOU how to use the internet marketing ideas as well. NONE of that ‘tell your friends and family’ thing. It won’t last long term for you. You want to reach out to other like-minded people. You will find greater numbers of networkers by leveraging the internet. (Just like you found me, for example!)

2. Make sure that the company is positioned for selling your products and recruiting new distributors on the internet. I have recently stopped marketing my first MLM company. They just will not allow us to do much of anything, except warm market (telling friends and family). In fact, if you are found to be advertising their products directly on the web, you can be stripped of your associate status.
Ridiculous.

3. Don’t discount the important of personal development and mindset, when you decide to make a go of it. Other people, who are not entrepreneurs at heart, will discourage you and tell you that it’s a scam, tell you that you will fail, etc. This is what people do. Just be aware of the potential naysayers. Guard your heart. Guard your mind. Believe in yourself. Connect with others who have the same passions and desires. You will need one another…”

Is network marketing a scam? It may appear that many distributors who are spending way too much time and throwing way too much money into their business, without turning a profit. I can certainly relate. I’ve been there myself. The cure, as I see it, is not simple, nor is it easy. But it is something most people CAN do. It’s not luck or circumstance. It’s EDUCATION. It’s new SKILLS. It’s MARKETING and not sales. It’s MINDSET and personal development.

So to all of you struggling networkers out there, be encouraged…

It is Independence Day. It is a great time to remember those who have made a positive impact upon our lives.
I’ve just edited and updated my article about how my dear grandfather and others have had a positive influence on my life. It is not meant to be promotional but thought provoking. Hope you will take a look. ~ Eddie

Note from the webmaster: Eddie is a student of Renegade University, though the article has nothing to do with network marketing. It’s just a beautiful and touching article and I wanted to share it with all of my readers.

Income Ideas for Work at Home Moms: Network Marketing and Direct Sales

By admin | July 4, 2008

If you are a mom, looking to create a healthy part-time income from home, you will need a business that will fit into your hectic schedule. Consider the flexibility of direct sales and network marketing companies. Or if you have a particular skill or talent, you might start some sort of service-based business.

Are you a good organizer? Charge clients for closet organization services. Are you a musician? You could teach private lessons on a part-time basis from your home. Other ideas would be baby sitting services, dog sitting, bookkeeping, housekeeping and landscaping. Word of mouth advertising will keep satisfied clients coming your way. The cost to start up may be less than fifty dollars.

Direct sales opportunities will require that you are comfortable meeting new people and presenting your product to groups of people. Examples of this type of business would be cosmetics, costume jewelry sales, kitchen gadgets, cookware, soy candles, designer handbags and pet supplies. Sales are done through print catalogs and showcasing limited quantities of product samples. Other opportunities have you sell your products by hosting in-home parties for friends and family. Personal referrals are an important part of this type of business. Start-up costs for this type of business are usually less than two hundred dollars.

Another segment of the direct sales business opportunity realm are often referred to as ‘top-tier’ opportunities. These have higher cost of entry, but the commissions are significantly higher as well.

Examples of direct sales companies, reviewed on this site:

Jockey
Global Resorts
Wealthmasters
Discovery Toys
Avon

Multi-level marketing companies distribute their products and services through independent consultants, sometimes called ‘associates’ or ‘distributors’. Commissions are earned for retail sales, but the significant income is a result of residuals on the sales income of your entire organization. Learn how to create a down line of a thousand buyers and you will have created a full-time income. This has been a difficult feat to accomplish in years past, using only warm market prospecting; however the internet offers many new avenues for product sales and business opportunity seekers to enroll with you.

Network marketing business opportunities are available in many different flavors — nutrition/supplements, beauty/skin care, electricity providers, travel, pet food and related products, financial services and debt reduction plans, health insurance discounts — there is even a healthy chocolate MLM company!

Examples of mlm companies, reviewed on this site:

Ambit Energy
Usana
GeneWize Life Sciences
Isagenix
Monavie
Liquidity International
Shaklee
And dozens more…

The majority of the businesses do not require that you maintain an inventory; remember, though, that the income is based on sales and sales volume. Most will require that you maintain a monthly purchase amount of your own, in order to remain qualified for commissions. This monthly amount varies by company, but usually ranges between $50 and $150. Start up costs for most MLM companies is typically less than $150.

Pros of Direct Sales:
Direct sales will produce higher front end earnings than traditional multilevel marketing.

Cons of Direct Sales:
It is less team-oriented and more dependent on your ability to produce new sales consistently. Many comp plans to include overrides and bonuses for the sales of your organization, but keep in mind that you will need to continue your personal selling, in order to create a solid income.

Pros of MLM/Network Marketing:
Compensation plan will produce higher earnings, called ‘residuals’, over time. These earnings will be based on the overall sales volume of your down line organization. This is a more team-oriented approach to building a home business.

Cons of MLM/Network Marketing:
Smaller start up cost means less financial leverage. You will need to create a downline organization of hundreds, if not thousands of people, to create a healthy monthly income.

Learn the foundational skills of internet network marketing and you will greatly improve your odds of network marketing profits and success.
